Vampire Creation Rules


Standard Creation Array:

Step One: Choose Concept, Clan, Nature, and Demeanor


Step Two: Select Attributes (7/5/3 or 6/5/3 for Anarchs)

Attributes start with one dot.

Step Three: Select Abilities (13/9/5 or 12/8/5 for Anarchs)

Secondaries are half-cost, and may only be purchased with Freebies. One Freebie is equal to two ranks in a Secondary Ability. Experience costs are Current Rating, or 3 for a New Secondary.

Step Four: Select Advantages

Choose Backgrounds: (5 for Camarilla, 6 for Anarchs, 0 for Sabbat). Backgrounds may be gained in character.
Choose Disciplines: Starting Camarilla characters receive 3 points to spend on Disciplines. Starting Anarch and Sabbat characters receive 4 points to spend on Disciplines.
Choose Virtues: Starting Camarilla and Anarch characters will probably follow the Path of Humanity, and receive 7 points to spend on Virtues (Conscience, Self-Control, and Courage). For Camarilla and Anarch characters, virtues begin at 1 point. Sabbat characters who follow the Path of Humanity receive 5 points to spend on virtues, and virtues begin at 1 point.

Step Five: Finishing Touches

Record Willpower (Courage or Morale): 7 is the maximum willpower you can have at character creation.
Record Humanity (Conscience + Self-Control): 8 is the maximum humanity you can have at character creation.
Spend Freebies: (21) plus history freebies (15) for a total of (36) freebie points.
Record Blood Pool: (Determined by Generation)
Free Lore: 1 dot in Lore of their own Clan; 2 dots for Lores of their choice. If the character is a hybrid (Ghoul/Kinfolk or Ghoul/Kinain), you receive 2 dots in Garou Lore/Changeling Lore and 1 dot in Tribe Lore/Kith Lore.

A character may gain an additional 7 points from flaws at creation. Additional merits and flaws may be gained and/or bought off in character. If your character is Kinfolk, you must buy the Supernatural Kinfolk Merit.
